For all my LOST fan friends...

So... still no pictures because this internet place won't let us plug in our own usb devices!!! rrrrgghhh...

Yesterday was like a movie! We got up early as per usual and went to rent snorkel gear. We went to Hanauma Bay which is a conservation area specifically for snorkelling. You hike down into what was a volcano crater and now is a bay in the ocean. There's lots of reef and the fish were AMAZING!! so many different colours, even the huge fish were bright and colourful, not scary at all. Especially when you could get into those little coves surrounded by coral and then there would be schools of all these fish feeding off it! The highlight was definitely stumbling across a SEA TURTLE!!! so huge, and beautiful and amazing... and not scary at all! They're just so peaceful swimming around.

Just driving out of the city with mountains on one side and bright blue ocean on the other and crashing waves against the rocks is fantastic!

Then in the afternoon we decided to go for a hike to Manoa Falls. Seriously, i felt like i was in a movie. The rainforest is so surreal... so thick and green and HUGE trees with all these cool leaves and flowers. When you're watching Lost... it's not a set... it's REAL... and we know this because... didn't we happen to stumble across the set where they were filming the season finale of LOST!!

A couple of very excited fans came down the path to show off their pictures on their cameras with Locke. The cast had just gone to their trailers when we got there, so just the crew was around... we hung around for a while... but then admitted that... we're not Lost fans... and the only reason we're sticking around is to make all our Lost-fan friends jealous... so... we decided to stick with our initial purpose of the hike and remain humble (haha!)

But seriously... best hike ever... if you have the opportunity, everyone needs to come to hawaii!! The scenery is indescribable! Even though the falls were a little disappointing because the water level was low but... I'm not complaining! I'm even more in love and this is supposed to be the island i like the least!! The contrast in one small island is just so great.. the power of the ocean, the bright underwater world, the lush rainforest... it's awe inspiring!

We've been staying in a friend's condo.. and his roommate has been fantastic! Part of the fun has just been getting to know someone, hang out in the evenings and chat! He even offered us his car to use for the day which was very kind! Today we're flying over to Kauai, so new adventures await! Hopefully pictures will come soon!

Hey...so good to hear from you! It sounds like you're having an amazing time already! I really can't believe you actually stumbled on to the set of LOST. And, sad to say, I actually am jealous!!

Anyway, I can't wait to hear about more of your adventures, and see your pictures!
